Discussing me is not my forte, but here I go. I am proud to be alive and feel that each day has a special purpose for everyone. My purpose has always been to serve. I have been working in various capacities with the mentally ill and, when I needed a respite from this challenging field, I entered the Peace Corps which took me to West Africa. As a health educator, I hopefully was a source of hope. It, however,was me who received the education. I fell in love with the African people and my hope is to one day return there. I also worked on the South American continent as a missionary in Colombia. My higher power had a plan for me in Colombia which I was unaware of until it slapped me in the face. I became a mother by adopting an orphaned boy. Today, my son Everto is nearly 21 and attending university. His opportunities are limitless and it will be an exciting road to see where he will be led. I hope to meet many fascinating people on this site and inspire others as well as become inspired. Such a journey we are on together.
